Large Trees Removed from Walt Disney ‘Dreamers Point’ to Improve View from GEO-82 Spaceship Earth Bar

As the all-new Spaceship Earth bar prepares to open at EPCOT this week, we noticed that two large trees were removed from the Dreamers Point area of World Celebration. In case you don’t know, Dreamers Point is the area where the Walt the Dreamer statue is located – just behind Spaceship Earth. The large trees flanked Walt, providing a nice framing for the area, but significantly blocking the view from the GEO-82 adults-only bar located on the second floor of the Spaceship Earth post-show area.

Trees Removed from Dreamers Point for GEO-82

First, here’s a look at the large trees that used to be found on either side of the Walt the Dreamer statue. First, here’s a look from the World Celebration Gardens area, followed by a couple of photos closer to the statue.

And here’s a look at the area from our visit to EPCOT today. The trees were removed sometime in the last week to ensure that the view from within GEO-82 was as good as possible.

GEO-82 officially opens June 4th, and reservations are booked solid for a few months. The new bar promises to be an upscale location (with some upscale pricing).

  1. Yeah so it can now be 150 degrees instead of 100 just so some rich people can have a nice view with their alcohol poisoning.
