According to an update to the Walt Disney World website, the room refurbishment in the Magnolia Bend section of Port Orleans – Riverside has been extended. The refurbishment was delayed by a month, pushing the originally scheduled start date of April 2025 back to May 2025. Likewise, the end date has been pushed back a month. Here’s the latest.
Port Orleans Riverside Magnolia Bend Refurbishment Extended
With the start date for the Magnolia Bend room refurbishment pushed from April to May, the end month of January 2026 is now listed as February 2026. Walt Disney World has not announced what changes might be taking place during the work, but the length of the work could suggest some extensive changes.
Here’s the updated notice on the Walt Disney World website:
From early May 2025 through the end of February 2026, Guest rooms in the Magnolia Bend at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area.
