According to an update from Walt Disney World, the room refurbishment at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside will continue through Summer 2027. Previously, Disney had announced a room refurbishment of guest rooms in the Magnolia Bend section of the resort. That refurbishment was scheduled to be completed in February 2026. Now, it looks like the room refurbishment will be significantly expanded and extended. Here’s the latest.
Port Orleans Riverside Room Refurbishment Extended to August 2027
The room refurbishment at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside has not only been extended by some 18 months, but it is seemingly expanding, too. The most recent notice from Disney does not list a specific area of the resort to receive room refurbishments, which makes me think that the refurbishment will be applied to all rooms. The lengthy extension of the refurbishment timeframe would support that theory. From early May 2025 through August 2027, Guest rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside will undergo refurbishment throughout different parts of the Resort hotel. During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area.
