Bundle up, because it’s going to be cold when the 2026 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts kicks off this upcoming Friday, January 16th. Current forecasts call for the coldest-ever start to the Festival of the Arts, which dates back to 2017.
Coldest-Ever Start to EPCOT Festival of the Arts
Currently, the forecast for the Walt Disney World area calls for a low of 35° and a high of 56° on Friday, January 16th. The “feels-like” temperature will dip below freezing, into the 20s overnight, before warming up to the high 30s and low 40s by the 9am opening of EPCOT.
If this forecast holds, it will tie the lowest temperatures we’ve seen this winter season in Central Florida.
Looking over the menus, there aren’t a lot of soups to help warm you up, but one popular item that will be extra popular on Friday is the grilled cheese with tomato soup at the Pop Eats Food Studio.
While entertainment is always subject to change, I hope there won’t be any cancellations due to the cold weather. In fact, there really isn’t a ton of entertainment during the EPCOT Festival of the Arts in general.
As with any day at Walt Disney World, check the forecast as we get closer to the end of the week for any changes. When it’s cold outside, we like to dress in layers, shedding jackets and sweaters as the day warms up.
