PHOTOS: Hallmark Channel Holiday Movie Filming “Glass Slipper Moment” at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

First announced in early December, a Hallmark Channel original holiday movie is still filming at Walt Disney World days before holiday decorations are scheduled to be removed. While visiting Magic Kingdom this morning, we noticed that filming was taking place at the Cinderella wishing well. From what we could tell, the scene being filmed was a “glass slipper moment” between leads Lacey Chabert and Travis Van Winkle. Here’s a sneak peek!

Hallmark Channel Holiday Movie Filming at Walt Disney World

Starring Lacey Chabert, Travis Van Winkle, Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Bryce Dufee, Taegen Burns, and Asher Alexander, with Patrick Renna in a cameo role, this soon-to-be classic romance is set to premiere during Hallmark Channel’s 17th annual Countdown to Christmas programming event next year and has been shooting on location at Walt Disney World in Florida. Ryan Landels has written the script and is set to direct.

This collaboration between the Hallmark Channel and Walt Disney World marks the first time ever that these holiday powerhouses will team up for a new, original movie. The movie is called Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True and it will debut during the 2026 Christmas season programming later this year.

In the film, Lindsey (Chabert) and her extended family head to Walt Disney World to spend a magical Christmas together.  But the dream of a jolly holiday gets dashed when Lindsey discovers her room is next door to Philip (Van Winkle), a disastrous first date she recently had, who’s also there on a family trip.

As Lindsey and Philip’s paths cross throughout their stay, the frost starts to thaw as they learn they’re not so different from each other after all. Thanks to the magic of Walt Disney World, the holiday wish Lindsey made in Cinderella fountain just might turn their rivalry into romance.

The core cast was present this morning, including Richard Kind, who Disney fans will recognize as the unmistakable voice of Bing Bong from Inside Out. Here’s a look at the filming, which just wrapped up near Cinderella Castle on a brisk Central Florida morning.

During the scene, we saw Chabert’s character standing around Cinderella’s wishing well by herself. Later, other characters joined as Chabert sat on a nearby bench. It looked like there was a glass slipper moment of sorts when Van Winkle’s character helped Chabert to the bench, putting a slipper on her foot.
