I’ve just completed the most important photo shoot of my life, and I have to tell someone about it. In what can only be described as the best luck of my “career”, I stumbled upon Figment roaming the streets of World Celebration, freed from the imaginative confines of the Imagination Pavilion. Of course, I had to snap a few photos of this magical moment.
Rare Roaming Figment at EPCOT
We’re in no-man’s land. It’s the magical time between festivals when many guests forget that EPCOT exists and is more than a dozen 30-minute waits at food kiosks. There’s no telling what can happen during “Diet EPCOT”, and today is a great example of that. Today, we got to see Figment break free of the Imagination Pavilion and roam around to meet with guests. Call it: Figment’s Great Escape.
Of course, at 9:15am during Diet EPCOT, there aren’t a ton of guests walking by the Imagination Pavilion. I was one of the lucky few.
It was over before I knew it, but Figment was roaming in front of the Journey Into Imagination attraction that bears his name for about 10 to 15 minutes this morning. I snapped a few photos and then poof, he was gone. Did it really happen, or was it just a figment of my imagination?
There is no guarantee that Figment will roam at any given moment. It’s more of a surprise and delight type of thing that we imagine will occur rarely during times of extremely low crowds. Typically, guests can meet with Figment at his standard meet and greet inside the Imagination Pavilion, pictured below.
