Walt Disney World has released new images of the updated Audio-Animatronics in the Frozen Ever After attraction at EPCOT. The new figures have ditched the rear-projection faces, opting for a silicone mold instead. This gives the figures a more lifelike appearance than what guests have been used to seeing over the past decade. Here’s a first look!

First Look: New Frozen Ever After Audio-Animatronics
While Frozen Ever After officially opens tomorrow, Walt Disney World has released new images of the Frozen Ever After Audio-Animatronics that have been installed in the attraction. As previously outlined, the new heads for the Audio-Animatronics include silicone skin that creates a look that makes the figure look like it stepped right out of the movie. Disney had to modify the necks of the figures to accept the change in the heads.
In addition to the updated figures, there were other changes to the attraction, including an update of the show control system for the ride. Teams also “touched up a lot” and made some changes to the show lighting.

Guests sailing through Frozen Ever After at EPCOT can now see the newly updated Anna, Elsa and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics figures. Inspired by the advancements showcased at World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland, the refreshed figures offer a more true-to-film look and elevate the storytelling experience.
