Good evening from EPCOT where the Frozen Ever After attraction has soft opened! The ride has been closed since January 26th as Imagineering upgraded the Audio-Animatronics in the ride. We’ve ridden a few times this afternoon to capture photos and a full ride-through video of the newly reopened attraction!

We’ll start with some photos from the attraction. While the only updates to Audio-Animatronics were for the humans to remove the rear-projected faces, Disney said that there were lighting updates to the ride as well. I’ll be honest, it’s not significant, but the ride does look good. There were also behind-the-scenes updates to the show control system.
The new heads for the Audio-Animatronics include silicone skin that creates a look that makes the figure look like it stepped right out of the movie. Disney had to modify the necks of the figures to accept the change in the heads.
