Walt Disney Imagineering has shared a sneak peek at a steel beam signing ceremony, a tradition among Cast Members as a new attraction is being built. Imagineering said that this is the final steel beam to be installed for the Encanto attraction building, which is taking over a portion of the former DinoLand USA area of Animal Kingdom as part of a Tropical Americas-themed reimagining.

Imagineers Sign Steel Beam for Encanto Ride

Imagineers recently gathered for a beam signing, leaving their mark on the last beam that needs to be installed for the upcoming Encanto attraction. It’s a meaningful tradition that celebrates the collaboration, craftsmanship, and countless hours of creativity behind the scenes.

The first vertical steel beam was installed back in early December. If this final beam gets placed this week or this weekend, that will mark a little over 10 weeks for the construction of the steel frame of the Encanto ride building.
