Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle has taken to social media to congratulate incoming Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro on his promotion. Vahle is considered to be one of the executives who could take over D’Amaro’s current role of Disney Experiences Chairman.

Vahle took over the role of Walt Disney World President after D’Amaro was promoted to Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Chairman back in May 2020. The new Disney Parks leadership was put in place by D’Amaro after former Parks Chairman Bob Chapek was elevated to the CEO role earlier in 2020.
Prior to landing the President role at Walt Disney World, Vahle served as President, Disney Signature Experiences, which included Disney Cruise Line. Vahle’s experience at Disney stretches back to Summer 1990 when he started as a mechanical engineer at Magic Kingdom. From there, he worked his way through various executive positions in engineering and other executive roles in the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products division before being named President of Disney Signature Experiences back in March 2018.
Vahle and D’Amaro have worked together as some $17 billion are invested in Walt Disney World, which includes the creation of an all-new Villains Land and Cars-themed expansions at Magic Kingdom, a Tropical Americas retheme of DinoLand USA in Animal Kingdom, and Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, among other projects.
Vahle joins other Disney executives, current and former, in congratulating Josh D’Amaro on the recent announcement that he will be the next Disney CEO.
