Ahead of new details to be revealed at Megacon this weekend, we have a look at the codenames for the Haunted Houses that guests will enjoy at Halloween Horror Nights 35. As Universal Orlando ramps up to the August 28th opening date for Halloween Horror Nights 2026, speculation will ramp up as well. As fans of the event, we’re going to deviate from our typical Disney content as part of our Outside the Bubble coverage that includes some great offerings beyond the gates of Mickey’s kingdom.
Halloween Horror Nights 35 Haunted House Codenames
Thanks to some newly filed permits, we have a look at the Haunted House codenames for Halloween Horror Nights 35! The codenames come via a series of permits for electrical work at a number of locations previously used for Haunted Houses.
For those who may be new to the Halloween Horror Nights event, Universal typically has a theme for haunted house codenames each year. Sometimes the haunted house codename is vaguely representative of the IP or theme that will be found inside the house, but sometimes the connection is loose or nonexistent. Either way, the codenames always provide for some fun speculation each year.
Here are the Haunted House codenames for Halloween Horror Nights 35, along with the house themes they had in 2025 (in parentheses), for reference:
- Tent 1: Shuttle (Dolls Let’s Play Dead)
- Tent 2: Wagon (Hatchet & Chains)
- Soundstage 22: Balloon (El Artista)
- Soundstage 23A: Car (WWE)
- Soundstage 23B: Bus (Five Nights at Freddy’s)
- Soundstage 24A: Chariot (Grave of Flesh)
- Soundstage 24B: Train (Terrifier)
- B138A: Tractor (Fallout)
- B138B: Hearse (Galkin)
- Fast and Furious: Helicopter (Jason Universe)
As for possible themes, we’re still awaiting official confirmation or even solid rumors. We’re going to be paying close attention to this weekend’s Megacon event, where the team behind Halloween Horror Nights 35 will be presenting.
