With his tenure as Disney CEO behind him, Bob Iger has a long career to look back on. During his career, Iger flew all over the world in pursuit of new theme parks, new acquisitions, and more. In fact, Iger flew more than 4.6 million miles with Disney Aviation, and he has the certificate to prove it.

Bob Iger Flew More Than 4.6 Million Miles as Disney CEO

In a social media post, Iger’s wife, Willow Bay, shared a photo of Iger’s “Flight Certificate” from The Walt Disney Company. In total, Iger logged 4,615,722 miles with Disney Aviation, spending some 9,453 hours in the air. In total, Iger visited 41 countries as part of his official duties.

It’s official. 4.67M  miles flown (and that’s Bob not Tinkerbell) in service to the Walt Disney Company and its cast members, guests, shareholders, and partners. All while being a super-hero father, grandfather and husband. I am filled with pride and gratitude that I will be your co-pilot for the next chapter. Congratulations Bob!

Perhaps one of the most important final flights that Iger took aboard a Disney aircraft was a September 2024 flight when Iger and new Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro made a trip to Abu Dhabi to consider opening up a new theme park in the region. Iger said that he and D’Amaro were “very impressed” and started to get excited about the concept. Iger said that they started to draw out some sketches on the plane, visualizing what the theme park could be.
