As work continues to transform DinoLand USA into a Tropical Americas-themed land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Walt Disney Imagineering has filed nine new Notice of Commencement permits for a number of locations within the land. Here’s the latest!
Imagineering Files Nine Permits for Tropical Americas
Walt Disney Imagineering has filed nine new permits this week, all listing Pro Audio Video Inc. as the contractor for the work. The scope of the work is listed as “electrical”, with no other details to go off of beyond the addresses listed in the permits.
In the past, Pro Audio Video, Inc. has worked with Disney on projects such as Test Track 3.0, the Animation Courtyard transformation, the Beak and Barrel, and more.
The list of locations found in the permits includes:
- 501 Restaurantosaurus Road – Indiana Jones attraction
- 504 DinoLand Drive – Encanto attraction
- 580 DinoLand Drive – Backstage pump house
- 590 DinoLand Drive – Former gift shop, new meet and greet
- 594 DinoLand Drive – Former Donald Duck meet and greet
- 601 Restaurantosaurus Road – Restaurantosaurus quick-service
- 610 DinoLand Drive – Encanto attraction
- 671 DinoLand Drive – Woodcarver Carousel attraction
- 672 DinoLand Drive – Near land entrance
When it opens in 2027, Tropical Americas will feature:
- All-new Encanto attraction
- All-new carousel featuring Disney animals carved from wood
- Reimagined DINOSAUR ride into unique Indiana Jones theme
- Reimagined Restaurantosaurus into a large hacienda quick-service
- Playground area near Indiana Jones attraction
