As Disney Lakeshore Lodge continues toward a 2027 opening timeframe, Walt Disney Imagineering has filed seven new permits today for signage and the installation of set elements. The permits come as the project shifts from structural work to theming work. Here’s the latest.
Imagineering Permits for Theming at Lakeshore Lodge
Earlier today, Walt Disney Imagineering filed seven permits for theming work at Disney Lakeshore Lodge. Six of the permits are for the installation of signage, with Design Communications Ltd. listed as the contractor. The final permit is for the installation of set elements, with ThemeWorks, Inc. listed as the contractor.
While Walt Disney World has been pretty quiet on the Disney Lakeshore Lodge project, it is clear that the building (and maybe even the offerings) is largely the same as the Reflections – A Lakeside Lodge hotel before it.

Projected to open in 2027, this proposed new Disney Vacation Club property will be located alongside the shores of Bay Lake at Walt Disney World Resort. The resort will be inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists. The proposed Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be located within the same footprint of the previously announced Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge resort. Additional information will be released at a later time.
