While visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, we noticed crews working on the exterior of the former PizzeRizzo quick-service dining location in the Monstropolis construction site. The former Muppets-themed pizza place is one of the only remaining question marks for the new Monsters Inc.-themed lands. Here’s a closer look!
Exterior Theming Added at Former PizzeRizzo Dining Location
New themed steel is being installed on the exterior balcony area at the former PizzeRizzo quick-service restaurant.
Before we take a closer look at the construction, here’s a look at the latest concept art for Monstropolis. Given the perspective that this concept art was drawn from, we can’t see the front of the former PizzeRizzo restaurant. Walt Disney World has not announced its plans for the space, but I’d imagine that it would be tough to not want to take advantage of existing kitchen infrastructure.
From inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we can see that crews were working on welding some steel into place. Work has been underway on adding theming to the exterior of the former PizzeRizzo venue for a little while now.
