A new Masai giraffe calf has made her savanna debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Ivy, born in April, can now be spotted by guests riding Kilimanjaro Safaris. She is out on the savanna alongside her mom, Willow. The calf already weighs nearly 300 pounds and stands about 7.5 feet tall. Disney says Ivy is growing quickly and exploring her surroundings as she settles into the herd.

A NEW CALF ON THE SAVANNA
Ivy joined the Kilimanjaro Safaris herd this spring after her April birth. Guests can now see her on the attraction with her mom, Willow. The pair share the savanna with the rest of the giraffe tower.
GROWING FAST
Ivy already weighs nearly 300 pounds and stands roughly 7.5 feet tall. Masai giraffes grow quickly in their first months, and Ivy is no exception. Disney notes she continues to grow as she explores the savanna.
A CURIOUS PERSONALITY
Disney describes Ivy as curious and observant. She watches the herd and investigates her surroundings as she gets comfortable in her new home. Visitors who catch her spot her getting comfortable with the safari may see her sticking close to Willow. Ivy joins her half-brother Tucker, who was born in 2025.
