IT’S HAWKINS’ LAST STAND
The Upside Down is invading Hawkins, and this time Universal says no one is safe. Developed in partnership with Netflix, the house draws directly from Stranger Things 5, the fifth and final season of the series, putting you alongside the Hawkins gang for one last adventure.
The barrier between reality and the supernatural is collapsing, and you will try to make it past an army of Demogorgons, face the Mind Flayer, and defeat Vecna once and for all. Universal frames the house as a closing chapter, as the show itself wrapped up its run.
THE LOCATIONS YOU’LL EXPLORE
Universal is leaning on recognizable settings to ground the scares. Guests move through familiar scenes including the Wheeler House, Hawkins National Laboratory, and the MAC-Z military base, then cross into the Upside Down and the Abyss as the darkness takes over.
Demogorgons and other creatures hunt you at every turn, and Vecna stays on your heels as the terror intensifies. Universal pitches it as an all-or-nothing battle for survival, with guests placed at the center of the fight to save Hawkins.
A FINAL CHAPTER FOR A RETURNING FAVORITE
Stranger Things is not new to this event, and that history is part of the appeal here. Universal leaning on the “one last adventure” framing signals that this is meant to be the send-off house for a property that has anchored the event before.

WHEN AND WHERE YOU CAN ENTER THE FOG
Halloween Horror Nights kicks off Friday, August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood, with the Stranger Things 5 house appearing at both. The event again brings together haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, and themed food and drink.
In Orlando, HHN 35 runs select nights through November 1, 2026, at Universal Studios Florida, marking the milestone 35th anniversary. Tickets and tours are already on sale through Universal’s official Halloween Horror Nights website. If past Stranger Things houses are any indication, this one will draw a crowd, so building it into your plan early is the smart move.
