New Competitions Join the Lineup
This year’s Ocho introduces three new events alongside its usual mix of offbeat competitions. Donk Toss challenges competitors to land an inflatable donkey on a target, testing accuracy over distance. Disney describes Roofball as an evolution of a backyard game. Competitors toss a ball onto a rooftop and aim for specific landing spots to rack up points.
The Housekeeping Games round out the new additions, drawing inspiration from the daily work of hotel housekeepers. Disney says the event challenges participants across speed, precision and teamwork.
Returning favorites include Slippery Stairs, Combat Archery, Dodgeball, the Big League Wiffle Ball World Series, the Popdarts Championship and the Pop-A-Shot National Championship. The Ocho first came to Walt Disney World in 2025 with a similar mix of unconventional competitions. Many of this year’s events will also air across ESPN’s networks in addition to being open to guests to view in person.
Free Admission and How to Attend
Guests don’t need a ticket or advance registration to attend The Ocho. Both admission and parking are free. Resort guests can also arrange a ride to the complex through the Lyft app’s Minnie Van Service. Fan Zones throughout the complex will offer limited-edition Ocho merchandise and photo opportunities. Guests can also try some of the featured games hands-on.
The full day of competition runs from 10:00am to 9:00pm at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Here’s the event schedule for Friday, August 7th:

A Decade of Wonderfully Wacky Sports
The Ocho traces its origins to the fictional ESPN8 channel featured in the 2004 film “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.” ESPN turned that joke into a real annual event a decade ago. It has since become one of the network’s most anticipated summer traditions.
