Walt Disney World has revealed the New Year’s Eve fireworks schedule. Disney says Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios will stay open late on Thursday, December 31st, with countdown fireworks at each park to welcome 2027. Animal Kingdom maintains a normal day, so the late-night celebration belongs to the other three. Here’s the latest.

Walt Disney World’s New Year’s Eve 2027 plans center on late closings and countdown fireworks at three theme parks. Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios close at 12:00am, and EPCOT stays open until 1:00am. Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs and Blizzard Beach keep more typical hours.
New Year’s Eve Park Hours
Early entry begins at 8:30am at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, and at 7:30am at Animal Kingdom, ahead of each park’s regular opening. These are the hours Walt Disney World lists for December 31st:
- Magic Kingdom: 9:00am to 12:00am
- EPCOT: 9:00am to 1:00am
- Hollywood Studios: 9:00am to 12:00am
- Animal Kingdom: 8:00am to 6:00pm
- Disney Springs: 10:00am to 11:00pm
- Blizzard Beach: 10:00am to 5:00pm
The late hours start a day earlier at Magic Kingdom, which also closes at 12:00am on Wednesday, December 30th. EPCOT and Hollywood Studios close at 9:00pm that night. On Friday, January 1st, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios return to 9:00pm closings, and Magic Kingdom to 10:00pm.
New Year’s Eve Fireworks and Evening Shows
Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios each end the night with a countdown show. These are the showtimes Disney lists for December 31st:
- Magic Kingdom, Fantasy in the Sky: 6:30pm and 11:50pm
- EPCOT, Luminous: The Symphony of Us: 6:30pm
- EPCOT, Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration: 11:54pm
- Hollywood Studios, Fantasmic!: 8:00pm and 9:30pm
- Hollywood Studios, Wonderful World of Animation: 9:00pm
- Hollywood Studios, New Year Countdown Fireworks: 11:57pm
Magic Kingdom’s second show starts ten minutes before midnight, and the early showtime is an hour ahead of the 7:30pm performance we reported last year. For guests who want to get a head start on the celebration, Disney schedules the same two shows at Magic Kingdom for December 30th. As has been the case in years past, Magic Kingdom hosts two nights of celebrations.
EPCOT keeps the same December 31st showtimes as last year, and Luminous plays at 9:15pm on December 30th and 9:00pm on January 1st. Hollywood Studios’ countdown fireworks also match the showtime from last year.
