Disney Cruise Line says Palo Steakhouse and Palo Trattoria will move away from the prix-fixe dinner menu beginning October 22nd. In its place, guests will find a selection of their favorite items at à la carte pricing. The change arrives in phases, starting with the Disney Wonder and reaching all eight ships by October 26th. Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club Members can still use their $ 55-per-person dinner credit on à la carte items.

Palo Steakhouse and Palo Trattoria are changing how dinner works on board. Beginning October 22nd, the prix-fixe dinner menu gives way to a selection of guest favorites. The change covers every ship in the fleet, from the Disney Wonder on the first day to the Disney Adventure on the last.

Palo Transition Schedule by Ship

Each ship gets its own transition date, with the Disney Wonder first and the Disney Adventure last, Disney says:

  • October 22: Disney Wonder
  • October 23: Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, and Disney Wish
  • October 24: Disney Magic, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny
  • October 26: Disney Adventure

Disney describes the new dinner offering as a selection of its guests’ favorite items. The announcement does not list which dishes made the cut.

Castaway Club Credit and Reservations

Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club Members, along with guests staying in the same stateroom, can keep using their $55-per-person credit. The credit goes toward a broad range of à la carte dinner menu offerings. Disney says this exclusive benefit covers dinner only and does not apply to brunch.

Guests remain responsible for beverage charges, gratuities, and any amount above the credit. Platinum status begins after 10 sailings and Pearl after 25, the two highest tiers in the program, as we covered when Disney refreshed the Castaway Club Welcome Back Aboard gifts for every level.

Guests who want to check availability or change an existing reservation can visit the My Reservations section of the DCL.com site. Disney says guests can modify pre-arranged activities online up to three days before sailing. Eligible Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club Members will receive a SeaMail about these updates.
