Tri-Circle-D Ranch and Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge Construction Update (November 2019)

While the shores of Bay Lake are typically quiet retreats, there is quite a bit of construction taking place right now for a couple of projects. We made it out to Fort Wilderness on a cool (76 degrees) fall day here at Walt Disney World to get a look at the progress.

We’ll start with the new Tri-Circle-D Ranch. If you’ve visited Fort Wilderness lately, you might have seen some vertical construction in the area near the Reflections construction site. As you can see in the photos below, this vertical construction is for the new Tri-Circle-D Ranch building. Before we take a look at the work, here’s the concept art released by Disney of the new area.

We’ll start with a wide overview of the work, as seen from the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. While most of the work is contained on the former River Country site, there is a little bit of land clearing taking place on the far right side of the image below.

Here’s a closer look at that land clearing. Nothing too interesting.

Focusing back on the main construction site, here’s another overview. It looks like the majority of the visible work is on the Tri-Circle-D Ranch structure, with land preparation still underway for Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge.

Zooming in a bit, we can see the new Tri-Circle-D structure under construction.

That’s about all we can see from the top of the Contemporary, so let’s jump in a boat and head over to Fort Wilderness to take a look at the construction impact from the ground.

We’ll start from the Bay Lake dock, where we can see that Clementine Beach is now behind construction walls.

The chairs have moved to the north side of the marina.

Walking towards Pioneer Hall, we can see that the playground and more are behind walls now.

A new sign has been installed that showcases some of the work being done.

As you can see above, Pioneer Hall and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review are in no danger of succumbing to construction and will be playing “for years to come”. Here’s a look at Pioneer Hall as we make our way towards the Settlement Bus Depot.

In the distance, we can see the new Tri-Circle-D Ranch structure.
