There are a few changes coming to Fort Wilderness thanks to construction of the new DVC hotel: Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. As you may remember, we were the first to post construction photos of the former River Country site a few days ago, but now there is more work set to impact the Fort Wilderness offerings. To make way for construction, the Tri-Circle-D Ranch will relocate to a nearby area of the Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in fall 2019. As part of this, The Draft Horse Barn and Pony Farm will be re-imagined into a new, enhanced barn within the ranch.
Return to Sleepy Hollow
The “Return to Sleepy Hollow” offering will not be available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground this fall. The Headless Horseman and this frightfully fun experience are expected to return in the future. If you still want to see the the Headless Horseman, he will make his way down Main Street, U.S.A. ahead of Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park on select nights this fall.
In preparation for a possible increase of activity in the area, Pony Rides will no longer accept reservations effective immediately. The operation will continue to offer walk-up availability on a first-come, first-served basis until further notice. Guests may call 407- 824-2832 to confirm the availability of Pony Rides each day. Some Pony Rides may have to be cancelled or rescheduled due to loud construction noise. Soon, Pony Rides will temporarily move to the Trail Blaze Corral near the entrance and Reception Outpost at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. During this time, Pony Rides hours of operations will adjust to 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
