Guests attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will have a really cool augmented reality app to play with in the Magic Kingdom this year. The app is titled Mayhem at the Mansion and will be available to download on iOS and Android devices.
After four decades of being stuck in the Haunted Mansion, the ghosts have become restless, and some of them have escaped! It is now up to you to find and capture them. Once you’ve captured the ghosts, you return them back to the Haunted Mansion and restore peace in the Kingdom.

Guests will be able to locate the ghosts by referencing the park map that will show their locations. Using augmented reality technology, you will be able to take a picture next to the ghost as you collect them, and then return them to the Haunted Mansion. This technology isn’t new, as we saw something very similar in use at Star Wars Weekends and Frozen Summer Fun. More details will be announced by Disney soon!
