Last Week At Disney: September 8 – 14

     

    It was a very busy news week last week for Disney fans. We’re here to provide a wrap up and look back at last weeks Disney news.

     

    Apple Pay coming to Disney Stores and Walt Disney World

    Our week started with an announcement from Apple on Monday that they would be coming out with a new mobile payment system named Apple Pay. The system will be rolled out to Disney Stores in October and it will be available in Walt Disney World “by Christmas”. Read more:

    ‘Mayhem at the Mansion’ augmented reality app announced and abandoned

    After missing the first Not-So-Scary party, Disney announced that the ‘Mayhem at the Mansion’ augmented reality app would be available for download on September 9th. Unfortunately, Disney had MyMagic+ technical issues on September 9th and it has indefinitely suspended release of the app. I hope they can get the app working soon because it looks  awesome!     Magic Kingdom charging stations discontinued

    Saturday marked the last day you could use the charging lockers in Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe and the Space Mountain gift shop. There are still charging locations in Storybook Circus and near the Rapunzel restrooms. Read more:

    Frozen coming to Epcot (and everywhere else!)

    Maelstrom is out and a Frozen themed ride is in! Disney isn’t stopping with just Epcot though, as Frozen will be coming to the Magic Kingdom for the holiday season, and elements of Frozen Summer Fun will be extended past September 28th as we originally reported. Read more:
