For months, Disney has been building something between Grand Avenue and Tatooine Traders. Today, we visited Hollywood Studios to find the scrims down around the new structure.
As to what the structure could be, that’s anyone’s guess. It could be a Disney Vacation Club kiosk, like the one we saw constructed near Toy Story Land, or a snack stand to feed the masses that will be queuing along Grand Avenue for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge this Fall. Either way, the look of the structure is more in line with the feel of Hollywood Boulevard than that of Grand Avenue and definitely Tatooine Traders. At this point, this small kiosk is probably a better indication of the future of this area than the Tatooine facade behind it. Hopefully we’ll know more about this structure in the coming days.
