Epcot’s Japanese Signature Restaurant to be Named Takumi-Tei

While news about Epcot’s new signature restaurant has been relatively quiet since it was announced last May, sources have given us the name of the new dining location. The restaurant will be called Takumi-Tei, which will offer guests a dining experience inspired by the natural beauty of Japan. The restaurant’s setting will draw from both nature and takumi, which means “artisan” in Japanese. The relationship between Japanese craftsmanship and the natural world will be evident throughout the restaurant. More information such as a menu and (hopefully) concept art has yet to be released.

This new restaurant will be operated by Mitsukoshi USA, which operates the merchandise, restaurants (Teppan EDO and Tokyo Dining) and kiosks in the Japan pavilion. An opening date hasn’t been announced yet.

Disney has yet to announce the name of the restaurant, so it is subject to change and should be treated as unofficial unless and until Disney confirms it.
