Walls Down at Japan Pavilion’s Takumi-Tei Signature Restaurant; Opening “Imminent” at Epcot

Construction walls are down around Japan’s newest signature restaurant at Epcot, Takumi-Tei. The restaurant will open “this summer” according to the Disney Parks Blog, but Cast Members in the area expect it to open “soon”. The restaurant is rather unassuming from the exterior, featuring a single podium and small garden.

Takumi-Tei is “coming soon”. The restaurant description reads:

Like a flower that blooms in the springtime, Takumi-Tei celebrates moments of perfection in nature through Japanese art. Each room tells the story of a natural element – from water, wood, or earth, to stone and washi paper – and features beautiful, handcrafted works of art just waiting to be discovered.

As a reminder, here’s a look at the interior concept art released by Disney.

As always, keep checking back with BlogMickey.com for the latest on Takumi-Tei and many more projects from around the Disney Parks.
