Guests visiting Magic Kingdom early this morning were met with the sounds of construction near the existing bus bag check area as a new tent was constructed. Crews were putting the finishing touches on the construction of what will likely be a temporary bag check area as construction picks up steam for the Magic Kingdom entrance overhaul project. For more on the project, check out our detailed post from back in April when we first spotted the permits.
Back to today, we were walking into Magic Kingdom when we noticed the giant tent near the bus stops. Crews were working feverishly to complete the work before the average guest arrives closer to 9am. In the meantime, guests were routed through the tent as the final third of the construction was finished up.
Well start with a view from the monorail before hitting the ground for a closer look. As you can see below, the new structure is on the left of the existing structures, closer to the bus loop.

Finally, here’s a reverse look at the structure. With this structure looking like it’ll be ready to use in the coming days, it’s likely that we’ll see the existing bag check area demolished next month as work continues on improving the arrival experience for guests visiting Magic Kingdom.
