We made it out to Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently, and while we were there we decided to take a look at the construction progress for their Club 33 location. Located on the edge of the Africa section of the park, the structure will be found along the pathway that connects the land to Pandora – The World of Avatar. It’s about as far “out of the way” as any Club 33 location at Walt Disney World, but it looks like it will be a sizable space.
In the photo below, you can see the new construction on the right, located across from the restrooms seen on the left.
We can also see it start to rise as seen from in front of the Festival of the Lion king entrance. There’s no telling how high it will eventually reach, but we’re interested to see how it will fit in with the theme of the surrounding area.
Peeking over the construction fence shows the structure a bit better. It looks like we might see some columns being constructed on the face of the structure as the rest of it is turned into a wall at the moment.
The structure will be set back from the path, and it looks like it is graded slightly higher than the existing pathway. Other than that, we’re not aware of an opening date for the location. Once completed, all four Walt Disney World theme parks will have a Club 33 location.
If you’re unaware, Club 33 is essentially a private club of exclusive spaces and experiences that come at a premium cost of tens of thousands of dollars per year. The club originated out in Disneyland, and was introduced to Walt Disney World in 2017.
