For the third day in a row, the Disney Skyliner gondola system experienced issues for guests staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort. The two resorts use the Hourglass Lake station, which opened shortly before 9am, over three hours later than the advertised opening time.
We arrived this morning just before it started operating. As you can see below, signs were in place to make guests aware of the closed Disney Skyliner.
At about 8:55am, the Disney Skyliner was operational at the Hourglass Lake station, whisking the few guests that were there off to the Caribbean Beach Hub.
By the time we had returned to the bus station, the sign that said the Disney Skyliner was closed had been switched out to say that it was open.
Obviously, the Disney Skyliner gondola system continues to experience issues at the Hourglass Lake station after months of testing and a few days of operation. We hope that Disney can figure out what the issue is and create some reliability in the system for the over 6,000 guest rooms that share the Hourglass Lake station.
