Guests Reportedly Asked Not to Use Any Pull-Down Beds at Disney’s Riviera Resort

What started as a trundle bed falling off of the wall has now escalated into guests being asked not to use any and all pull-down beds at Disney’s newest resort – Disney’s Riviera Resort.

To get a full idea of the issues plaguing the resort, we have to go back to opening night on December 16th, when a trundle bed like the one seen below reportedly fell on a guest. Disney went on to say that an installation problem led to the accident and that they were in contact with the guest affected.

Fast forward to last night, Christmas Eve, and a warning from Disney to guests not to use the second pull-down bed in some of the rooms as Disney continued their investigation into the issues. According to guests staying at the resort, Disney is offering inflatable mattresses or even pulling the mattress out of the murphy bed and placing it on the floor.

Of course, with rooms starting at $600 a night and during the busy Christmas season, guests shouldn’t have to deal with such extensive issues for a new resort. Communications to guests indicate that Disney will attempt to remedy the issue on Thursday, December 26th.
