Jungle Cruise Queue Refurbishment Nearly Complete at Magic Kingdom

A refurbishment project at the Jungle Cruise appears nearly complete some 5 months after it started back in January. As we detailed in our previous update, most of the work to transition the dock from a wood to a composite-looking material had been completed. While visiting Magic Kingdom today, we noticed that work has shifted to a new part of the queue – presumably for the final time.

Here’s a look at the area that was behind low construction walls during our last visit.

And here’s a look at the new construction area – connecting the composite material from the Lightning Lane overflow area to the standby queue area.

Here’s a look back at the old wooden flooring from before the project began.

More refurbishment is scheduled for the Jungle Cruise in the coming months. According to a permit filed with the state, there will be a lengthy refurbishment of underwater systems through October 2025. At this time, Disney World has not announced a closure of the Jungle Cruise attraction.
