Another Excellent Entree Debuts at Docking Bay 7 in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Docking Bay 7 is putting its best foot forward right now, and it was already a top-tier quick-service restaurant in Walt Disney World. We recently visited Black Spire Outpost to try a trio of new dishes, and walked away with what I think is the single-best quick-service dish at Walt Disney World. Now, another new entree has debuted at Docking Bay 7, and we’re back for another review!

REVIEW: Docking Bay 7 Continues Entree Excellence with Puffer Pig Pasta

As a quick refresher, Docking Bay 7 added some new menu items earlier this month for May the 4th. While those items debuted May the 4th, they are not limited-time offerings and should be sticking around moving forward. We reviewed three new entrees earlier this month, and one of the entrees (the Sweet Puffer Pig Ribs with Portion Bread) was a standout item and our new #1 quick-service dish at Walt Disney World!

Now, to celebrate the new Mandalorian & Grogu missions aboard the nearby Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, another new entree has hit the menu, and it was just the excuse we needed to return to Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo. Here’s a look at the new Sweet-and-Spicy Puffer Pig Pasta.

Sweet-and-Spicy Puffer Pig Pasta | $15.99

Flat Noodles with Pork Belly, Bok Choy, Sweet-and-Spicy Soy Sauce, and Hard-boiled Egg

Puffer Pig seems to be the magic word for me in Star Wars parlance. Back on Earth, we call it pork belly. If there was one complaint I had about my dish, it was that it seemed to be light on the pork belly. That said, the bites that were there were delicious – similar to the half-rack of Puffer Pig that you’ll find in my favorite entree at Docking Bay 7.

The hard-boiled egg was cooked really well, although I would’ve preferred it if it were blue or some other Star Wars-y food color.

The bok choy was good, as were all of the other accompanying vegetables.

The flat noodles were an excellent choice, both from a texture perspective and their ability to retain the phenomenal sweet and spicy soy sauce. In terms of consistency, it was like a slightly thicker dumpling sauce, and packed with spiciness. In fact, I might advise guests who are averse to spicy foods to steer clear of this dish (just like the also-delicious Pirjanad Hot Chicken Tip Yip). As for me, I loved it, but know that the spice will stay in your mouth for a while after your last bite.

Overall, Docking Bay 7 is a strong contender and a quick-service spot that you should definitely consider when planning your next visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While this review focused on a single dish, the theming of the restaurant is also top-notch, keeping you right in the middle of your Star Wars story while presenting one of the best quick-service menus at Walt Disney World.
