Latest Look at Future World East Pathway Expansion Project

If you’ve ever been in the long, winding rope drop queue for Test Track at Epcot and wondered what the walls to your right were in Future World East, it’s a pathway expansion project that mirrors a similar one completed earlier this year in Future World West.

Here’s a look at the pathway on the Walt Disney World digital map.

Here’s a look at the latest work from an elevated position on the monorail.

A closer examination shows that the restrooms are receiving some work too.

Further down the path, south of MouseGear, we can see that the wider path has been poured. This is a huge improvement from the previous walkway width, and may play a part in a future Spaceship Earth bypass pathway as heavier work begins next year in the Future World section of the park. We can even see new lights on the left of the image below like what we saw in Future World West.

The concrete pour hasn’t made it to MouseGear just yet.

It’s likely that this pathway will debut in January 2020, but Disney hasn’t made an announcement yet.
