Concept Art Released for Flamingo Crossings Phase One Hotel Expansion

Disney’s master-planned mixed-use hub, Flamingo Crossings, is slowly but surely moving along. The multi-year project is mainly focused on two aspects right now, building out four brand new hotels, and building out a new campus for their College Program housing. We’ll have more on both projects a little later, but right now we wanted to showcase some concept art for the four hotels being built.

The four hotels, a Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, Homewood Suites, and Home2 Suites, join two hotels already open in the area and have positioned themselves as a formidable option to the already dense hotel market. The Disney-owned Flamingo Crossings property sits just a two minute drive outside of the western entrance to Walt Disney World property and when the entire plan comes together, it will feature more than 50 retail offerings including a Target, PDQ, Five Guys, Ben & Jerry’s, Walgreens, Dunkin’ and more.

The four hotels shown off in the concept art below are estimated to open later this year or early next year. You can see a portion of the mixed-use space in the bottom of the concept art, but ground has not been broken on that phase of the work yet. We’ll have more on the latest construction in the area shortly.

Working left to right, we find the Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, Homewood Suites, and Home2 Suites, respectively. Here’s a closer look at the hotels in the order listed above.

The Flamingo Crossings project is quite an exciting development by Disney, and we’ll be sure to keep a close eye on it as it progresses throughout this year and into the future.
