Disney Reduces Bus Operations, Directs Guests to Use Disney Skyliner at Pop Century Resort

According to Cast Members we spoke with at the resort, Disney is reducing bus operations from the resort to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot when the Disney Skyliner is operational. Buses to each of those parks will only depart once per hour in the hopes of getting guests to use the Disney Skyliner gondola system.

UPDATE: Disney has confirmed that all Disney Skyliner resorts will see reduced bus operations. Here’s our story with the info.

Of course, the Disney Skyliner gondola system has had its own share of problems and we still haven’t seen enough reliability to recommend using it if it can be avoided. Unfortunately for guests at Pop Century Resort, the reduction of bus operations means that the Disney Skyliner gondola system effectively can’t be avoided.

    1. Not good news Disney. I am afraid of heights and a little scared of the Skyliner (breaking down and being stuck) Now I have to wait an hour for a bus, if one even comes at all. Which means spending money on Lyft. Not a good move Disney.
