Multiple New Hotels Take Shape at Walt Disney World’s Flamingo Crossings

|

Perhaps one of the quietest large-scale projects taking place right now at the Walt Disney World Resort is the Flamingo Crossings project. Technically outside of the west gate of Walt Disney World, the shopping and lodging district is still owned by Disney.

The plans for the Flamingo Crossings area are massive, but we’ll focus on the construction of four new hotels. Flamingo Crossings is the Disney-owned expansion taking place just west of Walt Disney World, and will include seven hotels, 237,000 square feet of retail space, and almost 1,300 apartments when completed. The development plans call for three phases, with the first phase being these four hotels.

Earlier today, we wrote about some concept art that shows the final product. You can see more in our post about it (HERE).

Here’s a look across the yet-to-be-developed mixed-use space seen in the bottom of the concept art. It’s simply an empty lot right now.

Residence Inn

We’ll work left to right in our photo update, starting with the Residence Inn, which is separated from the other hotels by a lake.

Fairfield Inn

Across the lake from the Residence Inn is the Fairfield Inn.

In between the Fairfield Inn and the Homewood Suites, we can find the parking garage that will be attached to the Homewood Suites.

Homewood Suites

Continuing our tour, we find the Homewood Suites.

Home2 Suites

Finally, we’ve arrived at what looks to be the most decorative hotel, Home2 Suites, tucked behind Homewood Suites.
