Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway Will Combine Two Stories in One Ride

As we get closer to the March 4th opening of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, more details are being released about what guests can expect to experience.

According to Walt Disney Imagineering’s Kevin Rafferty, via the OC Register, guests will experience two stories in the ride.

“This attraction actually has a B story,” Rafferty said. “First one ever that has a B story in addition to the A story. It’s very clear and it’s very fun.”

If the idea of having to ride a headline attraction twice to see it all seems daunting, don’t worry. Raftery said that everybody will see the second story, but that it’s subtle. Of course, what that really means remains to be seen, but Rafferty is proud of the work the team has put in.

When talking about Easter eggs and more hidden Mickey’s than any other Disney attraction, Rafferty said, “There’s so much to see. So many nods to such great stuff that hearkens back to the Disney studio and little nods to different things, even Imagineering. It’s going to take you many, many rides through to actually see everything. And you probably won’t even then.”
