Disney Removes June Reservation Availability for Disney Springs Restaurants; Sends Cancellation Notices

While we’ve seen individual locations at Disney Springs formally announce reopening plans, there was widespread June availability recently for restaurants who haven’t announced reopening plans on the Walt Disney World website.

On the Walt Disney World website and My Disney Experience app, many restaurants were accepting reservations beginning June 1st, leading many to believe that reservation availability meant that a specific location would be open. Of course, if you’ve been following our coverage of official Walt Disney World statements, it has been made clear that reservation availability doesn’t mean that a location will be open.

Today, Disney not only started cancelling vacation reservations for guests planning on visiting in the first week of June, but they’ve also removed nearly all restaurant availability at Disney Springs through the end of June. This also aligns with the fact that Disney isn’t accepting new reservations before July 1st. Disney has begun to send out emails to guests who made early June reservations at Disney Springs, cancelling their reservation.

A check of many dates on the Walt Disney World website and My Disney Experience app now shows that Wine Bar George is the only restaurant with availability in June. That would align with their public statement that they will be reopening on May 20th.

Widespread availability for Disney Springs restaurants is available starting July 1st, along with the rest of the Walt Disney World Resort.

As a reminder, here’s a list of locations and their statuses for a May 20th reopening:
