Walt Disney World Begins Cancelling Reservations for First Week of June

Guests with Walt Disney World vacations booked through June 6th have begun to receive cancellation emails today from Disney.

In an email to guests, Disney notes that we are in the midst of rapidly changing times, and that the Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts are closed. In the email, guests are given the option to modify or cancel the resort reservation up to their original check-in date. If no action is taken by then, Disney will automatically process a refund.

New for this round of cancellation emails is that Disney has stopped offering the Free Dining Recovery Offer that they stopped 3 weeks earlier than previously announced.

As a reminder, the Walt Disney World theme parks remain closed indefinitely, and the earliest that guests are able to make a new reservation is for July 1st and beyond.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com for the latest Disney Parks news and photos. We’ll continue to bring you news and photos, where possible, through the Disney Parks closure due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will resume our normal coverage once the parks reopen to guests on July 11th!

  1. Do you know if the same weekly cancellations are happening for Disney’s Vero Beach, Aulani and Hilton Head resorts?

  2. We have DVC reservations starting June 1st at Vero Beach. So far all of our three reservations are still there. I’m thinking they cancel the cash reservations first and then DVC since they are different.
