Captain Jack Sparrow Headlines a New Not-So-Scary Offering

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is adding a new pirate offering for 2026. Captain Jack Sparrow is taking over Adventureland to lead a series of pirate antics. The same general area hosted the Rusty Cutlass pirate band in recent party seasons, which raises the obvious question of whether the Jack Sparrow offering replaces it. Here is what Disney has said, and what we are still waiting to learn.

What Disney Has Confirmed, and What We Don’t Know

Disney is teasing a new offering that sends guests to Adventureland, where Captain Jack Sparrow has dropped anchor to lead a swashbuckling series of pirate antics. The company frames it as new for 2026 and ties it firmly to the Pirates of the Caribbean character.

That is the full extent of the official detail. Disney has not given the offering a name, specified a format, named a stage location within Adventureland, or said how many sets run per party night. There is also no word on whether the roaming pirates from past seasons return alongside it. The phrase “series of pirate antics” is broad enough to cover a stage show, roaming character moments, or a mix of both, so we will have to drop by Adventureland during the first event to see what Disney has planned.

Will Rusty Cutlass Return?

Here is where it gets interesting. For the past few party seasons, Adventureland hosted the Rusty Cutlass pirate band, which played sets on the small stage across from Pirates of the Caribbean. That act ran alongside roaming pirates and themed lighting effects in the land.

This new offering is set in the same land and leans on the same pirate theme, so the two are either connected or competing. The clearest difference in the blurb is Captain Jack Sparrow, who Disney now places at the center of the experience. We have not confirmed whether this is the Rusty Cutlass act rebuilt around Jack Sparrow or a replacement of the Rusty Cutlass act completely. Note that Rusty Cutlass is a third-party act, so confirmation of their return may come later than Disney’s in-house entertainment offerings.

We will keep you updated should Disney share more, and we plan to catch the offering in person during the party. If you are mapping out a party night, pencil this one in for now until we have more details.
