Holiday music arrived in Toy Story Land today, as Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams debuted four new holiday songs at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The new playlist also brings new holiday patterns to the ride, although it’s tough to see during the day. We captured full video of every song and its lighting on the first day. Here’s a look!

The little green aliens are spinning to a seasonal soundtrack for the first time since Lilypad took over the ride. Alien Swirling Saucers became Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams on September 25th, with the frog-shaped tablet from Toy Story 5 as its DJ. About six weeks later, she has a holiday set ready to go.
Four Holiday Songs and New Lighting
Disney first shared the playlist when it announced holiday overlays for three attractions back in October. The four songs are:
- “Toyland”
- “Deck the Halls”
- “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers”
- “Joy to the Swirl”
Two are familiar holiday titles, and the other two play on the attraction’s name. Disney describes the overlay as a chance for honorary toys to “spin it back with new takes on festive favorites while swirling with everyone’s favorite little green aliens.”
Lighting has always been a big part of the fun here. The ride pairs its music with dance-style lights above the saucers, and each holiday song brings its own pattern.
Holiday Overlay Dates at Alien Swirling Saucers
The holiday playlist stays at Alien Swirling Saucers through January 6th, 2027. Disney hasn’t announced an end date for Lilypad’s Jams itself. That part of the recent changes is likely a permanent addition.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets was also scheduled to begin its holiday overlay today, so Hollywood Studios is feeling pretty festive today. Over at EPCOT, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind adds its holiday songs on November 25th.
