What’s Happening Outside the Brown Derby Lounge
Rolling hedge planters now line the exterior wall of The Hollywood Brown Derby, where the outdoor lounge normally operates. A compact track loader and covered materials sit in the cordoned-off area, with construction hedges keeping guests clear.
The scope isn’t officially confirmed, but we’re told the work will bring a new overhang to the space along with other quality-of-life improvements. That kind of addition would offer more shade and weather cover for an outdoor bar that bakes in the Florida sun during the day.
Where to Find the Lounge Right Now
The lounge services haven’t gone away during construction. The walk-up bar has shifted to the seating area in front of the former Starring Rolls Cafe, with red umbrellas, topiaries, and a check-in podium set up for outdoor service.
Signage near the relocated setup points guests to the walk-up bar entrance, so you can still grab a drink while the permanent space is reworked. If you’re planning a visit, look for the temporary footprint just off the main Brown Derby entrance.
