Not-So-Scary Ticket Glitch is Preventing Some Guests From Making Disney Park Pass Reservations

As we continue to wade through our emails and messages from many of you about the issues you’re facing with the Disney Park Pass system, we have another glitch to report and a possible fix for guests who have a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets.

As you likely are aware, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been cancelled for 2020. As a result, Disney will be refunding guests who paid for tickets already, but thanks to a My Disney Experience ticketing priority glitch that we discussed yesterday, that existing Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket is causing headaches for some guests.

Here’s the scenario we’ve seen play out and a possible fix to help you secure the Disney Park Pass reservations you want! Guests who have a ticket attached to their account are able to make reservations up until they select a date that already has their Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket attached. If you have tried to get a pass on one of the following dates, you might encounter subsequent attempts to secure a date shows that parks are unavailable:

    • August 13, 18, 21, 25 and 28
    • September 1, 4, 7, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27 and 29
    • October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 31
    • November 1

Ok, so what’s the fix that we’ve seen work for some of our readers?

    1. Delete the existing Disney Park Pass reservation that you have for the date that overlaps with your Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket
    2. Secure all other dates that you are eligible that are NOT overlapping with a Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket that you have. Some guests report more success by starting at their last day of the trip and working backward, skipping Not-So-Scary dates
    3. Go back and try to secure Disney Park Pass reservations for the date(s) that overlap with your Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket

Hopefully those steps work for you! If they do, or if you face other issues, let us know in the comments below or on social media and we’ll try to get you answers unless and until Disney decides to fix the Disney Park Pass system.

    1. Hasn’t worked for me. I’ve tried this algorithm before and I’m still just stuck with one date on 9/11 and have five more days to secure.

    2. Disregard my earlier message! It just worked for my wife and I!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

    3. 90mins of on hold music to be cut off by the call centre at the end of the shift. Spoke online to the live-chat people via the app, to be told to call the call centre. Left hand Right hand ? I know it’s chaotic, but don’t open up a proposal if it’s not ready.

    4. So for the past 2 days I have been trying to get the last reservation made for my 6day park tickets. Hundreds of calls only to hear ” the line is busy try back again”. I got through to CS to hear ” You should be able to book 6 days and I don’t know why you can’t”. Last night I got through to IT and waited 4hours, 11pm and never got through! I had MNSSHP tickets for Friday 8/21 but Disney has removed them from my account. I can only assume the problem is since I have reserved a day at MK for that day I can no longer reserve anything. The message appears that “one or more parks are not available”. I am scared if I delete that reservation I will still have the problem and go backwards instead of forwards. Not understanding if Disney is aware of this problem why it still exists!! Very frustrating and am almost ready to say goodbye to Disney!
