Park Pass Reservations Sold Out May 21 & 22
Disney Park Pass theme park reservations are sold out for Annual Passholders on May 21 and May 22, key dates for new attraction openings and previews. While May 22nd, the debut date for the Mando update for Smugglers Run, sold out a while ago, May 21st has just joined it as excitement builds for previews of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
Annual Passholders who have not secured a reservation for May 21st or 22nd still have options if they’d like to join the Virtual Queue for the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster preview. Here’s what we’d recommend.
What To Do If You Don’t Have a Hollywood Studios Reservation
May 22 sold out early, driven by demand for the Smugglers Run opening. May 21, the first day of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Passholder previews, followed. May 23 still has availability for Passholders who want to take a shot at the Muppets coaster preview via the virtual queue.
Passholders without a Hollywood Studios reservation on May 21 or May 22 can still book another park and park hop in. The 11:00am virtual queue window is available to anyone with a reservation to any park that day, and the 3:00 PM window requires no reservation at all. Reservations for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom remain available for both dates.
Smugglers Run Debuts a New Mission on May 22
As we’ve covered extensively, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is getting its most significant overhaul since opening in 2019. The new mission brings The Mandalorian and Grogu into the cockpit, with a storyline where Hondo Ohnaka enlists your crew to track down ex-Imperial officers and pirates on Tatooine. For the first time, guests control their own destination, choosing from Bespin, Endor, Coruscant, or Tatooine. Engineers also get a meaningful upgrade, interacting with and caring for Grogu during the mission.
As we reported last week, the pre-show has already been updated and is era-neutral, designed to support future mission additions.
The update debuts the same day The Mandalorian & Grogu hits theaters, though as we noted when it was first announced, the attraction’s story runs parallel to the film, not alongside it.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Passholder Previews Start May 21
As previously announced, Annual Passholders get exclusive early access to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets on May 21, 22, and 23, ahead of the May 26 public opening.
Previews use a virtual queue with three daily windows:
– 7:00am for Passholders with a Hollywood Studios reservation
– 11:00am for Passholders with any park reservation
– 3:00pm for all Passholders with no reservation required
