Following our story earlier this afternoon that Rise of the Resistance was experiencing extended downtime, Disney has sent a notification to guests with Boarding Groups, informing them that the ride will not open at all today.
Today’s issues follow a lightning strike that either hit the ride building or close to it last night, causing issues with the ride. Disney has been actively working on the ride to try and get it operational today, but has been unable to do so.
