Orange County Florida Courts Rule Mask Mandate is Legal

According to Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, Circuit Court Judge Lisa Munyon has rejected a challenge to the constitutionality of the Orange County Executive Order requiring residents to wear a face mask in public.

According to the Orange County Twitter account, this ruling makes the mask mandate legal in the county. The majority of Disney World property resides within Orange County.

Disney World made masks mandatory in their theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs ahead of the mandate from the county. With the country mandate and subsequent ruling, there should be little argument as to the validity of Disney World’s rules.

Orange County continues to see a decline in COVID-19 positivity rates while maintaining numerous testing sites. That said, the county is reminding residents to stay vigilant over the busy Labor Day Weekend. The Disney World area is going to be the most popular destination in the entire country this week, according to newly released data.
