Disney Takes Over Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT, Most Offerings Closed

As we told you earlier, Disney has taken over operations of the Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT after the third-party owners faced financial woes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, we took a walk around the pavilion to document what is open and what’s closed today. Here’s a look around!

The main shopping area is closed off to guests.

Tangierine Cafe remains closed.

The Race Against the Sun display remains opened, although modified for COVID-19.

Nearby, Kidcot remains opened, but moved to a new location.

Across the World Showcase plaza, Souk Al-Magred is open and selling some Aladdin toys in addition to extra merchandise stock claimed by Disney in the takeover. Cast Members were not sure if Disney would restock or just sell off the extra merchandise.

Cast Members were actively walking merchandise over from the closed off shops.

Over at Spice Road Table, staff were training for a reopening tomorrow.

Guess are able to grab a drink or bite to eat too, if they’d like at the “Beverages and Desserts” grab-and-go window.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!

  1. I hope Disney is able to keep the atmosphere of the market there.. I loved wandering around back there and seeing all the wonderful merchandise.

  2. I was afraid they were going to fill up that area with Disney toys. I loved the authentic merchandise from Morocco.

  3. The food at the on water location was sorta meh. Jerusalem cafe is much better.

I miss the water access . But the quick service was great.
