While visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios this morning, we noticed that Disney is testing using plexiglass for the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction.
As you can see in the photos below, the plexiglass is installed between the Engineer and Gunner positions, creating a 4/2 configuration for parties. Cast Members weren’t combining groups when we visited, but they told us testing is occurring.
By adding plexiglass, Disney is effectively able to increase the capacity for the attraction by combining parties in a safe manner. This increase would also drop the wait time for the attraction, which has consistently been one of the longest waits at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
