Monorail Station Demolished at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

As part of the ongoing project that will revitalize the arrival experience at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the monorail station has been demolished. It’s a bit of an odd sight, the monorails passing by the front of the resort in plain view, but we took a walk around the site this morning to bring you the latest photos of the demolition.

First, here’s a look at the concept art that Disney has released for what will be a completely rebuilt monorail station when the project is completed.

Here’s a look at the latest demolition.

Continuing around towards the Great Ceremonial House, we can see where the ground floor main entrance would be, as well as the second floor monorail station entrance.
